Guardian Event January 12, 2018

Today is a very special day for me, because I was invited to give a speech at a Guardian event at the Santa Barbara Beach & Golf Resort Curacao.

I never really liked standing in the spotlight and therefore would always rather work behind the scenes (before I established Creating Milestones). So today, by accepting the invitation and standing alone on a huge stage, in front of 130 people and delivering my message in Papiamentu (that is not even my maternal language) was very powerful and humbling to me.

Overcoming fears, always try to become the best version of you and never let your mind or others dictate how you feel. I really try to live by those words. And if I only inspired or got just one person to think about work and personal life and how they can improve themselves in that crowd today. Then my personal mission is accomplished.
